먹이 스며들고 아교로 굳은 한지 껍질이, 자신이 덮고 있던 것의 형태를 간직하고 있다. 그 안에 있던 몸은 더 이상 없다. 허물벗기 뒤에 남겨진 피부처럼, 온전한 막만이 남아 있다. 사라진 것은 떠난 것인가, 아니면 다만 다른 무엇이 된 것인가.
A husk of hanji, inked and glued, holds the shape of what it once covered. The body that inhabited it is no longer there; only the membrane remains, intact, like a skin left behind after molting. Has what disappeared truly gone — or simply become something else?
